Abstract

We demonstrated biosensing on gold nanoparticle (GNP) and silicon nitride (SiNx) coated localized surface plasmon resonance based fiber-optic probe. The SiNx over-layer protects the GNPs from deteriorating ageing effects and allows long term usage of sensors.
