Abstract

High performance InP/InGaAsP space switch modules with a four switch matrix, four input, four output fibers and electronic drivers are presented. Fiber-to-fiber losses are 7 dB, polarization sensitivity is within ±0.5 dB, on-off switching times are faster 200 ps. Crosstalk is below -15 dB/ -30 dB in regular/dilated arrangements over 1.53-1.56 μm wavelength range.
