Abstract

The chemistry of supported cobalt, platinum, chromium, and titanium organometallics has been investigated using a Nicolet Model 7199 Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer with photo-acoustic detection. Studies in each system include attachment to high surface area silica and/or alumina powder supports and thermal and/or photochemical reactions with various reagents and molecules. Emphasis is on the behavior of these systems as catalysts.
