Abstract

Part of our research is aimed at exploring the potential usefulness of photoacoustic spectroscopy (PAS) for the nondestructive quantitative analysis of airborne particulates deposited on filter membranes. To date, most of this work has been concerned with the determination of the molecular species H2O and NH4+ in the fine fraction of aerosols collected by dichotomous virtual impactor samplers on Teflon filters.
