Abstract

We have developed a Ti:S laser pumped, narrow-linewidth, 2.066 μm Ho, Tm:YLF laser as a tunable laser source for Differential Absorption LIDAR (DIAL) remote sensing of atmospheric CO2. The laser has been tuned across several absorption lines of CO2 in a laboratory absorption cell, and atmospheric long-path measurements of CO2 are planned.
