Abstract
Recently, smart windows encompassing optically switching electrochromic materials have become the focus of a great number of studies owing to their potential application in automobiles and buildings for improved energy management.[1][2] The optical modulation occurs via the reversible formation of an intermediate compound upon the insertion or extraction of ions and electrons.
