Specification of Optical Surfaces with Anisotropic Mid-Spatial Frequency Errors

Abstract

Mid-spatial frequency (MSF) errors impact optical performance. Conventional surface specification methods assume isotropy, which gives misleading results for surfaces with anisotropic errors. We propose an alternate surface specification method.
