Abstract

The Center for Optics Manufacturing (COM), located at the University of Rochester's Institute of Optics, is a collaborative effort supported by the American Precision Optics Manufacturers Association (APOMA), several academic institutions, and the U.S. Army Materiel Command. COM's mission is to research and introduce innovative technology and novel processing techniques that increase the competitiveness of the optics manufacturing base and its customers. Collaborative support ensures rapid implementation of new technologies and processes that will revolutionize optics manufacturing.
