Abstract

Recently, the need for fine finishing of optical workpieces has become increasingly important, A variety of polishing methods have been developed to satisfy this need. The traditional mechanical methods of polishing optical workpieces use solid shaped tools, and it's rather difficult to obtain surfaces to be polished not only of mirror quality but also physically undisturbed.
