Bending Monitoring of a Vertical Axis Wind Turbine Tower by Means of FBG Strain Sensors

Abstract

A vertical axis wind turbine tower was equipped with FBG for SHM. The obtained results explain the deduction of three deformation sources and the most sensitive position of sensors along the tower height was determined.
