A Self-referenced Fiber Refractometer using a Pattern-recognition Algorithm for Unambiguous Refractive Index Measurements

Abstract

We propose to use a pattern-recognition algorithm for measuring refractive index of different liquid samples and to overcome the ambiguity effect commonly presented in fiber refractometers using Fresnel reflection at the tip of the fiber.
