High Spatial Resolution Opto-mechanical time-domain analysis

Abstract

We propose a novel opto-mechanical time-domain analysis based on coherent forward stimulated Brillouin scattering probing, and demonstrate a 2-meter spatial resolution over a 225- meter-long fiber in which we are able to distinguish air from alcohol.
