Adaptive Traffic Grooming Using Reinforcement Learning in Multilayer Elastic Optical Networks

Abstract

We introduce a traffic grooming technique for multilayer networks that uses reinforcement learning. We confirm its superior performance over heuristic methods as regards its ability to meet several key requirements such as blocking probability and energy consumption.
