Techno-Economics of Terrestrial Extensions of Subsea Routes

Abstract

This paper investigates the benefit of using ultra-low-loss G.654.E fiber in the terrestrial section of PoP-PoP route in terms of GSNR improvement, higher fiber pair and cable capacity, and increased system value.
