Abstract
We experimentally demonstrate the first self-coherent optical OFDM (SCO-OFDM) based on received optical carrier amplification by stimulated Brillouin scattering. Compared to the conventional CO-OFDM, SCO-OFDM has similar performance with 9.6-Gb/s (16-QAM) enhanced data rate.
