Minimal Virtualized-Elastic-Regenerator Placement and Least Congestion Resources Assignment for Translucent Elastic Optical Networks

Abstract

A virtualized-elastic-regenerator (VER) is a promising solution for efficiently regenerating various superchannels in elastic optical networks. We propose an effective heuristic for calculating minimal VER placement, routing, and least congestion resources assignment.
