Lambda Switched Future Photonic Network Development

Abstract

High spectral efficiency DWDM transmission and flexgrid technologies are evaluated as upgrades of future lambda switched networks. A capacity limit of the order of 320 Tbit/s is calculated together with parameters for flexgrid optimization.
