Stability of Spectrum Characteristics in a 1.3µm Spot-size Converted Laser Diode (SSC-LD) with a Butt-joint Structure

Abstract

Stable behavior in the spectrum characteristics of a spot-size converted laser diode with a butt-joint structure is clarified. In addition, the reflectivity at the butt-joint portion is experimentally confirmed to be less than 2×10-3 %.
