Abstract

Recent experiments done by Mcmackin, Radzewicz, Beck and Raymer have demonstrated the existence of a stable three - frequency operation in a cw dye laser [1]. In order to explain a multichromatic operation theoretically there are two questions to be answered, namely, how a finite number of components of the lasing field can form a closed set of equations, and what is the operating condition for a individual multifrequency solution.
