Low-Power Optical Bistability and Phase Conjugation in Polydiacetylene

Abstract

Thermally induced optical bistability is reported at 514 nm using a Fabry-Perot cavity filled with polydiacetylene. Simultaneous degenerate four-wave mixing shows corresponding bistable behaviour of the phase conjugate signal.
