Spectroscopic study of the radiation of a discharge in contact with an electrolytic solution

Abstract

The radiation emitted by a plasma generated in restricted volumes, e.g., in high voltage capillary discharges, has interesting features. In a previous work1 we demonstrated that a remarkably long discharge can be obtained with a moderate voltage (10 kV) in contact with the surface of a liquid electrolytical solution. The discharge can have fractal appearance.
