Abstract

Angularly multiplexed holograms have potential applications as optical memories, information processors, and interconnections. DuPont's photopolymer HRF-150 has already been shown1 to have excellent sensitivity and resolution, making it a good candidate for an optical storage medium. Ten image plane holograms were recorded in DuPont's HRF-150 photopolymer. Agreement with Kogelnik's two wave diffraction theory2 for phase gratings, time considerations and their effect on dynamic range, the necessity of a pre-illumination pulse, and good image quality at read out are also reported.
