Compact cavities for coherent array lasers

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

The key elements in fabricating stable coherent array of lasers are (1) a suitable phase reference, (2) selection (discrimination) of one single array mode out of a closely spaced multitude of eigensolutions. We describe several approaches including Talbot cavity that lend themselves to practical and compact system design with currently available technologies.
