Abstract

We present a comprehensive study of parametric sensitivity problems associated with a 2-D optical target recognition system. To this end a class of related targets—was examined to determine a set of parameters yielding optimum target recognition in a matched filter (MF) correlation system. Image variances such as rotations, scalings, and distortions within the object class were investigated to determine the intraclass discrimination tolerances.
