Abstract

We highlight the potential of liquid-core fibers as nonlinear devices for telecom applications featuring low-coupling losses, full fiber-system connectivity, and picojoule pump energy requirements, here experimentally demonstrated by soliton-self frequency shifts and all-optical phase modulation.
