Abstract

Goss-Hänchen (GH) shifts due to its potential applications in geometrical optics has been proposed by Goos and Hänchen in 1974 [1]. There are many usages of GH shifts in optical measurement and sensing [2]. Infact, GH shifts are resulted from total reflection at the junction of the two medium due to lateraling shift in position of the reflected and transmitted lights [3]. Several theoretical and experimental configurations have been proposed for analyzing of GH shifts in reflected and transmitted lights [4, 5]. The GH shifts in most of those proposals have been occurred by changing the geometrical configurations of materials. These features make the mentioned studies have not suitable for applications in geometrical science. In this study, we propose a new model for manipulating the GH shifts in reflected and transmitted lights in a fixed configuration. We assume that the intracavity contains of four-level quantum system near a plasmonic nanostructure which located at distance d from quantum system. The optical features of quantum systems in the presence of some nanostructures have been discussed by many groups [6–8].
