Broadband ultrathin optical absorber based on metal-dielectric nanocomposites

Abstract

We show broadband absorption by ultrathin metal-dielectric composite films which have abnormal dispersion behaviors at percolation threshold. The absorption property is robust, insensitive to either the morphology or the material of the components.
