Reverse Saturable Absorbers: Indanthrone and Its Derivatives

Abstract

Indanthrone has been shown to exhibit the phenomenon of reverse saturable absorption.1 We have synthesized several derivatives of the parent compound which have proved to be more efficient reverse saturable absorbers than the indanthrone itself.
