Abstract

All optical regeneration of differential phase-shift keying signals based on phasesensitive amplification is described. Nearly ideal phase regeneration can be achieved in the undepleted-pump regime while simultaneous amplitude and phase regeneration can be realized in the depleted-pump regime.
