Ultrafast third order nonlinear optical response of germanium nanoparticles embedded in a silica matrix

Abstract

We study the properties of the third order nonlinear optical response of germanium nanoparticles embedded in a thin film silica matrix. Ultrafast four-wave mixing measurements are performed on samples with different nanoparticle diameters.
