Spectral signatures of soliton collisions in photonic crystal fibers

Abstract

Collisions of femtosecond solitons in silica core photonic crystal fibers are investigated experimentally and numerically. Clear spectral signatures of the power exchange between the interacting pulses and of the resonant radiation resulting from the collision are reported.
