Incoherent control over coherent gap soliton in a one-dimensional resonant photonic crystal

Abstract

We consider the stability of Bragg solitons in a resonant photonic crystal composed of alternating layers of dielectric and two-level atoms. Effective steering of the slow gap soliton is shown to be approached by means of incoherent pump of its small length.
