Optimized 2-dimensional poling pattern for fourth harmonic generation

Abstract

The efficiency of a recently proposed fourth harmonic generation scheme depends on two Fourier coefficients of a 2-dimensional periodic poling pattern. We describe a poling pattern corresponding to a local maximum of this efficiency.
