Abstract
Spatial optical solitons have been receiving an increasing amount of attention due to their potential application for all-optical interconnects. Bright spatial solitons arise as a consequence of the balancing of self-focusing and diffraction in one transverse dimension. The half band gap nonlinearity in AlGaAs make this system ideal for the study of spatial solitons [1,2]
