Abstract

The Nd-doped optical fiber laser (OFL) displays spontaneous oscillations when the pump power exceeds some threshold(1). This will be called hereafter the "second Hopf bifurcation" threshold of the laser since the first Hopf bifurcation corresponds to the onset of laser action.
