Dynamical Effects Induced by the Variation of the Squeezing Phase

Abstract

We show that the switchings of a standard single- mode optical bistable system can be obtained by varying the phase of a squeezed vacuum field interacting with the atomic medium, without changing any other control parameter, and in particular the input field.
