Abstract

It will be shown that intense laser beam is an effective tool for micro and nanostructuring of diamond materials: single crystal, poly and nanocrystalline diamond, amorphous diamond-like coatings. Major properties of these materials, such as optical absorbtion and thermal conduction, will be briefly presented.
