Does Carrier Envelope Phase Affect the Ionization Site in a Neutral Diatomic Molecule?

Abstract

We employ quantum trajectory Monte Carlo techniques to understand the carrier envelope phase (CEP)’s role in N2 strong-field ionization. Simulations indicate the ratio of down-to-upfield ions is roughly 2:1 regardless of CEP.
