Coupled dynamics of an optically levitated nanodumbbell

Abstract

We observe the coupled dynamics of both translational motion and torsional vibration for a levitated nanodumbbell at high vacuum. We also report cooling multiple degrees of freedom of the levitated nanodumbbell.
