Efficient Production of Picosecond 9-11 μm Pulses by Parametric Three Wave Mixing in GaSe

Abstract

Generation of picosecond, 5 µJ, 10 μm pulses by parametric three wave mixing in GaSe is demonstrated. Two new methods are explored in which the nonlinear interaction is seeded by either the signal or idler waves.
