Abstract
In this work, we perform drilling of micro-holes and formation of microbubbles in titanium thin films. All these processes occur due the high titanium absorption at near infrared wavelength, the superheating of titanium produce high quality micro-holes which can be create simultaneously with different laser beam spots. Otherwise, when titanium interacts with water superheating evaporates water and created microbubbles. Every single spot generates a single microbubble and exploiting the spatial resolution of an optical tweezers is possible generate multiple microbbubles into two dimensional arrays. This work provides a controllable way to develop a micropatterning technique and form microbubbles, which is expected to have many applications in material sciences and biology.
