Abstract

We developed a new simulation program dealing both with electromagnetic field and thermal profile for the rotating disc based on the three-dimensional finite-difference time-domain method. We applied it to the super-RENS ROM disc and found that the temperature distribution is not just dependent on the disc structure and pit shape but also the laser light polarization direction.
