A Fiber-Based Source of Degenerate Polarization-Entangled Photons in the Telecom Band

Abstract

We present a high quality degenerate source of polarization-entangled photons (0.96 ± 0.01 fidelity with a maximally entangled state). Reverse Hong-Ou-Mandel interference in an optical-fiber Sagnac loop deterministically separates the indistinguishable photons.
