Abstract

It is well known that 3-hydroxyflavone exhibits the solvent-controlled excited-state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT) reaction and therefore its derivatives can serve as sensitive fluorescent probes for investigating microparameters of biological membranes and macromolecules.
