Abstract
Ramsey interferometry in the optical domain provides high resolution for spectroscopic purposes and the possibility to study-phase shifts, e.g., due to external fields. The use of cold atoms nearly at rest for interferometry allows long coherent interaction times and thus increased resolution and sensitivity.
