Abstract
The generation and measurement of the coherent state of phonons have attracted much attention because of the interesting physical mechanisms involved and the novel insights coherent phonons provide for the microscopic interaction [1-2]. In this contribution, we present a detailed investigation of coherent modes, in the transparent insulator LaAlO3. The origin of the phonons is verified from a symmetry point of view to be a Raman interaction, and the dynamics of these phonons are systematically studied.
