Abstract
In this work theoretical results of investigations of generation in activated crystals with distributed feedback (DFB) are presented. Laser of this type are based on the modulation of activator concentration, activator being introduced into the crystal during the growth process.[1] As a result, spatial-periodic structures of activator concentration and refractive index n = nmexp(imqz) are formed with the period Λ(q = 2π/Λ) and profile determined by crystal growth conditions.[2] Rescattering of the counterrunning waves of generation on the structure leads to the DFB.
