Abstract

Lasing without population inversion has been discussed recently by many scientists.^{[l 41} Perhaps the most reasons as to why this system is interesting is that it may provide coherent radiation in regions of the electromagnetic spectrum where inversion is not feasible with the available pumping schemes.
