Abstract

We demonstrate a new type of parametric scattering, induced by two mutually incoherent beams which may be of different colors. This is an isotropic scattering in these sense that there is no change in the polarization. The interaction between the waves causes a dark or bright rings, depending on an external electric field applied on the crystal. The scattering is based on forward four wave mixing and critically depends upon phase matching conditions.
