Abstract

Experimental analysis of spectral-luminescence characteristics of new active mediums for high power lasing in IR, visible and UV- VUV spectral range. The main physical concept of radiative plasmodynamic discharges - generation of high power (>103W), high brightness (TBR>40kK) in UV-VUV thermal radiation in such discharge and new class of UV-VUV plasmodynamic light sources on their basis with required and controlable spectral/brightness/geometric parameters are described. Technical aspects of laser’ cells, principles of design with plasmodynamic sources of radiation operated directly in laser active mediums or separated by optical walls, are considered.
